The Science of Scent & Attraction

As you have probably gathered, we are here to help you with all matters of style, from advice on what to wear, where to eat, how it smells. No, you know, how to effectively use the nose (we hope that you have blocked so far), we mean how to get your personal scent straightened. To do this, we would like to introduce you to Rachel Herz, an expert on olfactory psychology and psychobiology. She has been conducting research on the sense of smell more than 19 years. More to Rachel.

Thanks William. The dating world has never been easier to navigate, but studies show that the smell is really most important in the game of seduction.

A series of studies among university students revealed that girls consistently ranked "how a guy smells" as the most important feature to determine whether or not she would be sexually attracted to him. So, when it comes to initial attraction, how you smell is more important than appearance, height, or even their income.

Do not think that making sure you do not smell "bad" is sufficient, however. You really need to smell good, if you want to get the girl. Women are more influenced by their noses that boys are, especially when it comes to romance. Plain and simple: Kids need to start paying more attention to smell, if you want to score in the dating world.

Therefore, before leaving in the next date, take an extra second to apply a large scented body spray. If you want to win your heart, you will need to win over the nose first.
